As with most volunteer opportunities working directly with children, we have an application and screening process, which can take 2 to 3 weeks to complete. Please keep that in mind when choosing a class session.

How to Sign Up for a Training Class:

  1. The first step is submitting an application. APPLY ONLINE HERE.
  2. You will then be contacted to schedule an interview and Child Protective Services Court observation.

STEPS 1 and 2 ABOVE MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE TRAINING BEGINS.

NOTE:  Initial Training is 35 hours (15 in-person classroom hours and approximately 20 online/independent reading hours), plus 3 hours of courtroom observation – you must complete all classes in a session.
