Advocate Support Group

CASA Montgomery County’s Volunteer Council has scheduled the next Advocate support group for Monday, February 24 at the home of one of our Advocates (address and driving directions will be emailed when a reminder is sent the week prior to our meeting.)

We will gather at 9:30 am to visit and enjoy light refreshments.

This month we are trying something a little different. We will discuss the book, The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh. Here is a link to the info on Amazon: www.amazon.com/The-Language-Flowers-A-Novel/dp/0345525558. This is a wonderful thought-provoking book about a young woman’s journey through the foster care system and her attempts to navigate the world after aging out. At least one copy is available in the CASA library.

Please RSVP to this event no later than Friday February 21 if you are interested in attending (reply to Jane Funke: funkejane@gmail.com). Due to space concerns and to allow for good discussion, ATTENDANCE WILL BE LIMITED TO THE FIRST FIFTEEN ADVOCATES TO REPLY.

This is a great chance to meet and visit with other CASA Advocates and earn an hour of continuing education time. If we have time, we may move on to other topics. There will also be a CASA supervisor in attendance to help answer questions.
