2nd Annual CASA Bike Rodeo

2015 Email signature revisedWhat is a Bike Rodeo?

Bicycle rodeos are a fun way to introduce younger riders to basic safety skills and further educate older children to more advanced safety and handling skills. Bike rodeos teach children the importance of seeing, being seen, and remaining in control of the bike at all times. This is accomplished through bicycle handling drills and activities.

Who can participate?

Any child in CPS care in Montgomery County, their parents/guardians and any other children in the household.

How do I participate?

You will need to register EACH CHILD who will be attending. Fill out the REGISTRATION FORM and return it BY APRIL 1, 2015 to: CASA Child Advocates of Montgomery County, ATTN: Bike Rodeo Registration, 412 W. Phillips St., Ste. 107, Conroe, TX 77301; Fax it to (936) 760-4180 or email: BikeRodeo@CASASpeaks4Kids.com.

How do I prepare for the Bike Rodeo?

If the child already has a bike and/or helmet, please make sure they bring them! Conroe ISD Police Officers will be inspecting each bike to make sure they are in SAFE working order and properly adjusted for the child. They will also be registering each bicycle. Bicycles will be available for temporary use at each activity station for those who do not have a bike.

At the Bike Rodeo, there will also be refreshments, fun activities and prize drawings! We have a limited number of bikes donated by Waste Connections, Inc., and we will be giving away those bikes by age group during the event. Please make sure you have transportation available to transport a bicycle should your child receive a bike.

  • Children must have a REGISTRATION FORM signed by a parent/guardian to participate.
  • Raffled bikes must be picked up that day.
  • Bikes and helmets should be labeled with child’s name. CASA is not responsible for lost or stolen bikes.
  • Bike Rodeo will be rescheduled in the event of rain.
