In-Service for Advocates: DFPS Transformation & Legislative Updates – presented by Texas CASA
October 22: Texas CASA will discuss DFPS Transformation and give us an update on CASA and the Legislature.
If you did not make it to the morning session of the mandatory in-service in August to hear Leshia Fisher speak about the CPS transformation, this is your chance to learn about the sweeping changes at CPS. These are changes that you need to know about as a CASA Child Advocate. Also, there is a lot going on with the legislature, and Texas CASA is VERY active in advocating for us. They will discuss what changes have been made and what changes they are still working on.
