Program Updates

Advocates are invited to CASA Program Update training

You are invited to attend an in-person meeting with Program Director Marilyn McQueeney and Program staff to learn more about updates to Advocate policies from Texas and National CASA that take effect Jan. 1, 2023. In addition to the updated policies, we will talk about CFE documentation, confidentiality, and upcoming events.

We’re offering 11 sessions of our two-hour training in the Great Room of our CASA home. All Advocates must attend one session to remain current as an Advocate. The training will count toward your twelve required hours for the 2022-23 Program year.

We didn’t host a fall conference this year, so we’re looking forward to seeing you in person over the next six weeks at one of these informative sessions. Your volunteer work for the children in care in Montgomery County is essential to our child welfare system, and we want you to be prepared for the upcoming policy changes.

We’re offering classes in the morning, afternoon, and evening. We’re also holding sessions on two Saturdays. Please choose the one that works best for your schedule. Please review the schedule below and click here to sign up for a session.
