Take the first step to becoming a CASA advocate:

Every Child Deserves a Chance. April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. This month, and throughout the year, we encourage all individuals and organizations to play a role in making our community and Montgomery County a better place for children and families. By ensuring that parents have the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to care for their children, we can help promote children’s social and emotional well-being and prevent child maltreatment within families and communities.

Please take a look at some of the awareness events, fundraisers, and volunteer opportunities in which CASA Child Advocates will be involved throughout the month, and commit to taking AT LEAST one action to help prevent child abuse and break the cycle.

TODAY is Child Abuse Prevention Day

Friday, April 8th is the official Child Abuse Prevention Day. CASA is urging everyone to WEAR BLUE and spread the word via their social media. CASA programs across the state of Texas will be changing their social media profile pictures to this image, and we are encouraging the community to do so as well, thereby raising awareness of our cause.
