About the Fund

CASA Child Advocates of Montgomery County has a fund called the Grady Spikes Northside Lexus Dreams Come True fund. This fund is used to help children represented by CASA Advocates with one-time urgent financial needs which cannot be met elsewhere. The fund is not to be used for continuing needs.

Use of funds

Use of the funds may include, but is not limited to

  • Furniture
  • Household items
  • Food
  • Clothing
  • Utilities
  • Medical needs
  • And/or housing assistance

It can also be used for the expenses associated with children’s extracurricular activities such as

  • Uniforms
  • Instruments
  • And camps

Before using the fund, CASA will look for community resources focused on that particular need. Each request is considered on a case-by-case basis.

How to apply

If a child in a case might benefit from these funds, Advocates can complete the application and submit it to their supervisor. The form can be found on this website in the ADVOCATE CENTER under “Forms.

For those with connections to Magnolia, Texas

Of special note: We currently have additional grant funds in the Grady Spikes Northside Lexus Dreams Come True fund that are to be used specifically for children who are placed in Magnolia, whose parents are from Magnolia, or who have some other connection to the community of Magnolia. If an Advocate is applying for funds for a child with Magnolia connections, please note that on the application.
