Summary: This article addresses how adoption influences healthy separation from parents, identity formation, and decisions related to sexuality by focusing on six key areas of vulnerability around the adoption experience as highlighted in Debbie Riley’s book, Beneath the Mask: Understanding Adopted Teens.
