Jane and Jane Workshop

Exciting news for CASA Child Advocates of Montgomery County!  We have booked Jane Malpass and Jane Thompson for an all-day workshop on November 7, 2014.  For those of you who have taken the Advocate training, you will recall the Jane & Jane video on the “Myth of Best Interest” (one of our most popular training tools.)

Jane and Jane come to CASA with a combined 65 years of child welfare experience (both social work and legal) and from personal life experiences that have led them to identify themselves as child advocates.  Their careers joined in 1981 as social workers and legal consultants to county departments of social services in North Carolina.  As they each provided training to separate segments of the child welfare system, they quickly recognized the need for all of the parties to work together toward a timely and appropriate permanent plan for each child in the system.

The workshop will be held at SHSU-The Woodlands Center.  Registration will open in October.  For more information, contact Wanda Smith: Wanda@CASASpeaks4Kids.com.
