CASA Announces Results from the 4th Annual 5K Run: The CASA SuperHero 5k
CASA Child Advocates of Montgomery County hosted the 4th Annual CASA SuperHero Run at G.W. Jones State forest on Saturday, October 19th, 2013. The annual fundraiser featured a 1K Kids’ Fun Run and 5K Run/Walk.
Over 200 Superheroes demonstrated their super powers and raced through the forest, raising more than $14,500 to help abused and neglected children in Montgomery County. Awards were presented to the top 3 in each group and by gender as well as overall male and female masters. Best Costume awards were also given to the adult and child with the top Supehero costumes.
This year’s top CASA SuperHero 5K finishers are as follows:
Top Male Open Winner: Oscar Fernandez (22:39.0)
Top Female Open Winner: Amber Knapp (26:28.8)
Top Male Masters Winner: Gary Van Kuiken (23:24.8)
Top Female Masters Winner: Karen Felicidario (26:54.3)
Best Adult Costume: Peter Dill, Captain America
Best Child Costume: Candence Pung, Bat Girl
