Post-viewing Discussion Groups
LGBTQ+ staff lead, Susan Truscott, will then lead a discussion with interested Advocates for an additional hour of training credit. This is your opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, discuss best practices and hear about other LGBTQ+ friendly materials available at CASA. Pre-course viewing of the ACAF Introduction to Cultural Competency and Best Practices for Serving LGBTQ Youth in Out-of-Home Care are not pre-requisites, as all Advocates are welcome to attend the discussions, but completing one or both pre-meeting may aid comprehension and help facilitate a better dialogue. Advocates will earn 90 minutes training credit per webinar completed and an additional hour for attending one of the facilitated discussions.
Discussion times (via zoom) are:
Monday, April 26, 2021 from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Monday, May 3, 2021 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
