2020 Fall Conference

I hope you have enjoyed our virtual fall conference. All fall conference training must be completed by October 15th. Please make sure to document your learning in Optima.

Drip Learning

We took a pause in our “Drip Learning” this month due to the fall conference. New content will be coming to your phone very soon.

Upcoming Training Opportunities

I am very excited that we are going to have training via Zoom by Children’s Safe Harbor offered twice in the month of October. I have been working for several years to be able to offer this training to our Advocates. In this training we will explore what a Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) is and what their role is in our community. We will discuss the sexual abuse investigation process and how Advocates can be helpful during that process. We will also learn steps to take if a child makes an outcry of sexual abuse.

We are also starting something new this month we are calling “Ask the TBRI Practitioner.” These sessions will be held on Zoom once a month and are available to both Advocates and Attorneys. You can bring questions about behaviors you are seeing exhibited in your case to the TBRI Team. No confidential information will be shared, only general case information.

As always, thank you for all you do for the children of Montgomery County! See you soon on Zoom! 😊
