A Message from the President & CEO – January 2022

Ann Marie RonsmanHappy New Year!

I always enjoy the beginning of a new year with the opportunity to start with fresh energy and perspective. Here, at CASA Child Advocates of Montgomery County, we are starting the year in our new home, The Rock Center for Child Advocacy! The space is beautiful, and we are even more excited for the program expansion that lies ahead in 2022. While we will continue to serve 100% of the children in foster care in Montgomery County, we are also deepening the support that we offer to our teenagers in care as well as trauma training and support to our children and families.

We are also looking forward to the construction of our outdoor space, the Amy Streifel Memorial Garden, this spring, which will create a place for community gatherings, parent-child visits as well as TBRI Coaching with families. This space will also have a community garden, thanks to the generosity of the Houston Astros Foundation, where teens and children can learn about vegetable gardening and have exposure to normalcy activities.

2021 was a wonderful year for CASA thanks to the incredible support of our community. Whether you are a volunteer, donor, board member, or community partner, we could not have achieved what we did in 2021 without you. The Foundation for our Future Capital Campaign will continue through the end of February. If you have not yet donated to this important initiative, we would welcome your support. We also have the opportunity to purchase a customized brick to leave a lasting legacy of your support of this campaign.

If you haven’t seen our new space, please feel free to stop by! Wishing you and your family many blessings in 2022.

With Gratitude,

Ann Marie Ronsman, MSN, RN, TBRI Practitioner
