Show Your Love for CASA: A Valentine’s Wine Tasting Fundraiser
Young Professionals for CASA (YPC) recently hosted the “Show Your Love for CASA” Valentine’s wine tasting fundraiser at Crescent Moon Wine Bar and Restaurant on Wednesday, February 12, 2014. The wine tasting was the very first fundraiser hosted by the Young Professionals group, formed in October of 2013, and by all accounts, the event was a success.
Guests enjoyed a selection of 4 wine samples, and each wine was expertly described by the sommelier. Crescent Moon Wine Bar and Restaurant graciously provided delicious appetizers throughout the evening, and everyone grooved to the live music of Billy Pope.
“Our initial goal was to have at least 40 people come out and support CASA,” says Blake Myers, Fundraising Chair for YPC, “At the end of the evening, over 50 guests had given to CASA, raising over $950 to help them reach their goal of providing an Advocate for every abused child in Montgomery County.”
