Take the first step to becoming a CASA advocate:

A Message from the President & CEO – March 2022

Ann Marie RonsmanHappy spring!

“Spring’s greatest joy beyond a doubt is when it brings the children out.” – Edgar A. Guest, poet

We had a wonderful 2022 CASA Speaks For Kids Gala — Escape to Paradise: A Night in the Tropics. We took over the Margaritaville Lake Resort the first weekend in March to celebrate all the fantastic work CASA Child Advocates of Montgomery County does to serve the children in foster care in our community. Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, or volunteered for our event.

The work on the Amy Streifel Community Garden has begun in our backyard space with the construction of a covered area, which will be utilized for trainings, parent-child visits, TBRI coaching, community events, and as a workspace for staff and volunteers. It will have ceiling fans, running water, and a raised counter space. Once this area is completed, the landscaping work will begin. A community vegetable garden, birdbaths and birdhouses, a butterfly and rose garden, wind chimes, and a whole lot of whimsy will fill our backyard.

Both our Texas CASA and National CASA audits will be in late April and early May. These occur every three years and will require the collaborative efforts of our whole staff, Advocates, and board to prepare. Thank you in advance for your help in preparing for this audit.

Wishing you a joy-filled spring!

Ann Marie Ronsman, MSN, RN, TBRI Practitioner
